To come to a Toastmasters Madrid meeting you can email us, or just show up anytime, you will be welcome.
Any of our members will be happy to tell you the meeting dynamics. As a guest, you are welcome to come two or three times to get an idea of how it works, before you decide to join. There are current members who saw us preparing for a meeting from the street and, curious as to what we were doing, decided to come in and ask what was going on. Not only did they end up staying for the meeting but they also decided to become members of the club. So don’t hesitate to come at the last minute.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Toastmaster of the Day will welcome all guests and ask you to introduce yourself and share with us why you are interested in Toastmasters. You do not have to give a speech the first time you show up to a meeting, but if you are eager to participate you can volunteer to give an impromptu speech, no more than two minutes, in the Table Topics section. Keep in mind there is no pressure to speak. After the meeting, you can also share your impressions in an informal chat with the members of the club, and address any question you may have to the officers.
The best way to find out about the Toastmasters experience is by showing up to a meeting. Come to visit us. We would love to meet you.
